NOTHING TO SEE HERE, MOVE ON

Thanks for checking this site, but Imaginary Daughter has moved to my main site and it won’t be updated here anymore. I’m just keeping this alive for a while so folks might check it out and see if there’s anything in the site’s coding they might want to take for their own site.

BASIC INSTRUCTIONS BY SCOTT MEYER
Basic Instructions by Scott Meyer
(links to another site)

Scott Meyer does standup comedy, and it shows. He’s completely hilarious. The drawing style (traced photos) might seem odd at first but it really makes the effect of the jokes that much better.

Recommended by Scott Adams of Dilbert fame - and by yours truly

Thanks! I haven't seen Tenchi Muyo but I'm generally aware of its plot, and I can promise you ID is nothing like it ;) Edit: by which I mean that I know it involves aliens and a harem of girls fighting over one guy (the first harem anime?) and about a  [...]

Love the color! This may be on purpose, but this really feels like Tenchi Muyo. . . ~AA

I used to work at a company in Dallas that had a similar view of a parking garage and another skyscraper across the street. . .

I hadn't seriously tried to get fully the same cross-browser results until now. I'm getting an important number of Mac visitors (however, it seems most of them don't use Safari). Opera seems to be behaving quite well, it's Safari the one I'm having problems now (though only after I devoted countless  [...]

002 (WHEREIN A GOLDEN EGG BREAKS)
002 (wherein a golden egg breaks)

Foreboding!

The first panel here is probably the most complicated one I’ve drawn so far (over 10 strips into the story), and it still looks quite alright to me. The TV on the foreground is kinda lame though. Also the egg is misshapen.

The second panel goes back to dull-background-mode. This is something I need to work on.

Originally, the third panel had a lot of “kinetic lines” for the hand, but it looked awful, so I removed them (with a little Photoshop magic). I also added the onomatopoeias after debating it with myself for a while. I’m not a big fan of onomatopoeias, but the strip just looked so liveless without them… all in all, I like their effect here, but I’ll be using them with restrain.

Father’s expression in the last panel isn’t quite what I was looking for. I need to work more in my expressions.
